You may have received Jesus as your Savior, but the question is:
Do you have Calvary’s love?
There is social love, friendship love, romantic love, and family love in this world.
But remember—when we die, all these forms of love fade away.
The only love that remains is Calvary’s love.
There are many kinds of love in this world, but the question remains:
Do you have Calvary’s love?
1 Corinthians 13:4–8 is one of the most beautiful definitions of true love. Here’s the same Scripture with “charity” replaced by “love”
A Reflection on True Love (1 Corinthians 13:4–8)
Love is patient and kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs.
It does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.
That’s a beautiful idea—adding “your name” in place of “charity” (or “love”) makes the verse deeply personal and reflective. Here’s how it would look; you can simply insert your own name and feel the message come alive:
Now make it personal:
[Your Name] is patient and kind.
[Your Name] does not envy or boast and is not proud.
[Your Name] does not dishonor others and is not self-seeking.
[Your Name] is not easily angered and keeps no record of wrongs.
[Your Name] always protects, trusts, hopes, and perseveres.
[Your Name] never fails.
👉 Ask yourself:
Does my life reflect this kind of love—Calvary’s love?
1 Corinthians 13:4–8 (Personalized Version)
4 [Your Name] suffers long and is kind; [Your Name] envies not; [Your Name] does not vaunt himself/herself, is not puffed up,
5 Does not behave unseemly, seeks not his/her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil;
6 Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
7 Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 [Your Name] never fails.
Loving Jesus
If you love Jesus, He will never fail you.
When you truly love Him, remember—He will never fail.
Love Jesus with all your heart, for He never fails.
If you hold on to your love for Him, He will never let you down.
What Is Calvary’s Love?
We sing about it and talk about it—but what is Calvary’s love, really?
All the loves in this world are connected to emotions.
Yes, Calvary’s love includes emotion—but it is completely different.
Other kinds of love are built on feelings.
Calvary’s love is built on determination.
It is a love that chooses to love even when it hurts.
It is the kind of love that says, “Love your enemies.”
Naturally, our emotions tell us to hate those who hurt us.
But Calvary’s love teaches us to forgive, to bless, and to love them instead.
That is the power and mystery of Calvary’s love—
a love born not from emotion, but from sacrifice, obedience, and divine determination.
A Higher Kind of Love
Calvary’s love is not just about forgiveness—it goes beyond that.
It is a love that restores, heals, and embraces.
It gives without expecting anything in return.
And if this love truly lives in you,
you are one of the most blessed people on earth.
The Meaning of Calvary
Calvary (or Golgotha) means “the place of the skull.”
The skull is just a bone; there’s nothing inside — no brain, no thinking,It does not keep records. It does not hold grudges.
In the same way, Calvary’s love is a “brainless” love.
For example, when someone has hurt you repeatedly, your mind naturally remembers their wrongs.
It becomes difficult to forgive or act kindly.
But Calvary’s love is different.
It chooses to forgive, bless, and embrace—without dwelling on the past.
This is the power of Calvary’s love:
pure, selfless, and supernatural.
Living in Calvary’s Love
We need to receive Calvary’s love.
“I will love and forgive—even my worst enemy.”
The more we love our enemies, the more it reflects our love for the Lord.
How do we know if we have truly forgiven someone?
When you remember the person, you feel love and compassion toward them, and there is no anger, bitterness, or resentment.
If this kind of love lives in you,
you are truly blessed.
Love—true Calvary love—never fails.
It brings peace, and blessing into our lives.
