“If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” — Mark 9:23
Have you ever felt that God could use anyone—except you?
Perhaps you have looked at your weaknesses, failures, or lack of experience and concluded that someone else is more qualified for God’s work. Yet throughout Scripture, God repeatedly chooses ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary purposes.
The Lord is still speaking today:
“I will accomplish My work through you.”
God Chooses You
In Jeremiah 51:20, God declares:
“You are My battle-axe and weapon of war, for with you I will break nations in pieces.”
Notice what God says.
He does not say, “I will find someone else.”
He says, “With you.”
God delights in using imperfect people who are willing to trust Him. Moses doubted his ability to speak. Gideon considered himself insignificant. Peter denied Jesus. Yet each of them became a powerful instrument in God’s hands.
Your limitations do not limit God.
Faith Is More Than Believing
Many people have a general belief in God, but Scripture calls us to something deeper—a living, active faith that trusts God’s Word above our circumstances.
Jesus said:
“If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” (Mark 9:23)
Faith is not positive thinking.
Faith is complete confidence in God’s promises.
It believes before seeing.
It obeys before understanding.
It perseveres before receiving.
God Believes in His Purpose for You
Even after we fail, God does not abandon His plan.
When we sincerely repent, He is ready to restore us.
Peter denied Christ three times, yet Jesus restored him and entrusted him with building the early Church.
Our past failures do not cancel God’s future plans.
Grace gives us another opportunity.
Grow from Ordinary Faith to Extraordinary Faith
The Bible encourages believers to grow into mature faith.
Extraordinary faith speaks God’s promises with confidence.
It prays with expectation.
It refuses to surrender when circumstances seem impossible.
Jesus called Lazarus from the tomb with only a few words because He possessed complete confidence in the Father’s authority.
God desires His children to develop that same unwavering trust—not confidence in ourselves, but confidence in Him.
Stop Looking at What You Lost
Many believers spend years grieving what has been taken from them.
A lost opportunity.
A failed business.
A broken relationship.
A financial setback.
Yet Scripture reminds us that God is able to restore beyond what we have lost.
He can replace what seems impossible to recover.
Our God is not limited by our past.
His blessings are always greater than our disappointments.
Say Yes to God’s Calling
Jesus asked His disciples difficult questions:
“Can you drink the cup that I drink?”
They answered, “We are able.”
Following Christ is not always easy.
It requires commitment.
It requires sacrifice.
It requires obedience.
Yet God never calls us without also providing the grace to fulfill His calling.
When God says, “You can,” He also provides the strength.
Declare God’s Promises Over Your Life
Instead of speaking defeat, declare God’s truth:
- God can use me.
- God can restore what I have lost.
- God can strengthen my faith.
- God can heal my heart.
- God can open new doors.
- God can fulfill His purpose through my life.
The Holy Spirit empowers believers to overcome fear, temptation, discouragement, and every obstacle that stands in the way of God’s purpose.
Final Encouragement
No matter where you are today, God has not finished writing your story.
The enemy may whisper, “You can’t.”
But God’s Word declares:
“You can.”
Not because of your strength.
Not because of your experience.
But because Christ lives within you.
Remember the promise of Scripture:
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” — Philippians 4:13
Walk forward in faith.
Trust God’s promises.
Believe His Word.
The God who called you is faithful, and He will accomplish His purpose through you.
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for choosing me despite my weaknesses. Help me to trust Your Word above my fears and circumstances. Strengthen my faith so that I may walk confidently in the purpose You have prepared for me. Use my life to bring glory to Your name. Fill me with the Holy Spirit, and help me believe that all things are possible through Christ.
