There are seasons in life when everything feels overwhelming. Trials rise like floods, accusations surround us, and our own failures seem louder than God’s promises. Yet in the middle of all this, the Word of God speaks hope:
“Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.” — Romans 8:33
Rest in the Middle of the Storm
The Bible often uses waters and floods to symbolize trials, suffering, and attacks of the enemy. Yet those who truly know the love of God are not destroyed by these floods. They may pass through deep waters, but they remain anchored in Christ.
A mature Christian life is not the absence of trials; it is the presence of peace in the midst of trials.
Jesus Himself is the “stone,” the sure foundation laid in Zion. He endured rejection, suffering, temptation, and the cross—yet He overcame. When our faith is built upon Him, we too can stand firm when life shakes around us.
Fear Begins When Faith Weakens
Many believers become troubled because they slowly lose confidence in God. Fear grows when faith weakens. Instead of trusting the Lord, we begin running after human solutions, panic, and discouragement.
But the Lord reminds us today:
- Do not give up your faith.
- Do not surrender to fear.
- Rise again.
As long as God has given you life, He has also given you another opportunity.
Failure Is Not the End
The story shared a powerful illustration about a student who failed an exam. Imagine if that student gave up completely after failing, only for the next day’s correction notice to reveal that he had actually passed.
How tragic it would be to quit too early.
In the same way, many believers become discouraged after spiritual failures, mistakes, or setbacks. But failure is not final for those who belong to Christ.
Many people in history fought battle after battle before finally winning victory. Likewise, in the Christian walk, there may be moments of defeat—but we are called to rise again.
No Condemnation for God’s Chosen
One of the most comforting truths in Scripture is this:
“Who shall bring a charge against God’s chosen?”
The enemy accuses. People accuse. Even our own hearts accuse us. But God justifies those whom He has chosen.
The story reminds us of the woman caught in adultery and brought before Jesus. Everyone condemned her. No one offered mercy. Yet Jesus spoke grace:
“Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more.”
What a beautiful picture of God’s heart.
Grace does not ignore sin, but it restores the sinner who turns back to God.
Come Out of the Prison of Inferiority
Many believers live trapped inside a prison of low self-worth:
- “I am too weak.”
- “People think poorly of me.”
- “I failed too many times.”
- “God cannot use me anymore.”
But these thoughts do not come from God.
The Lord sees His children differently. He calls us chosen, washed by His blood, justified, and loved. He is not waiting to reject us—He is calling us to rise.
Today, God can open the prison doors of shame, fear, rejection, and inferiority.
Christ Intercedes for You
What incredible comfort we have in Jesus:
- He died for you.
- He rose again for you.
- He sits at the Father’s right hand for you.
- He intercedes for you even now.
You are not abandoned.
Even if others misunderstand you, accuse you, or reject you, God has not forsaken you.
Rise Up Today
If your spiritual life has grown weak…
If prayer feels difficult…
If guilt and failure weigh heavily on your heart…
If you feel disqualified…
Hear the voice of the Lord today:
“Rise up. I have chosen you.”
Do not stay fallen. Repent, believe again, and take hold of His hand. God is still able to restore, revive, and establish you.
Victory still belongs to those who continue trusting in Christ.
