Word of our God shall stand for ever

    God’s Original Design for Man

Our Lord is a mighty God, and He expects us, His children, to be equally mighty if we are to spend all of eternity with Him.

When God created man, he was powerful and full of strength. He was given dominion.

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”
    (Genesis 1:26–28, KJV)

The Fall of Man and Its Consequences

But when man fell and committed sin, he drifted away from God and was cursed. That curse caused man to be weak in life.

    God’s Unchanging Purpose

However, God’s eternal purpose for man has never changed. Over the centuries, He worked through leaders, prophets, and judges to bring man to a perfect place. Yet man continued to follow his own heart and drifted far from God.

    God’s Plan of Redemption

To free man from the shackles of sin, God had to descend to earth and take the form of a man.

“Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.”
    (Isaiah 40:10, KJV)

Jesus Christ: The Savior of Mankind

We were full of sin, but God provided a way out for us through Jesus Christ. It had long been prophesied that a Savior would come to deliver mankind from sin.

Jesus Christ came searching for us. He led the way, died on the cross, and was wounded for our transgressions. He was whipped for our sickness. He endured great suffering in order to redeem mankind and prepare us for eternal life with God.

“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
    (Isaiah 53:4–5, KJV)
    The Unchanging Divine Plan

The divine plan for mankind has not changed, and God’s word is infallible.
