Seek First the Kingdom of God…
This well-known verse speaks to everyone—whether you are just beginning your spiritual journey or carrying burdens that weigh heavily on your heart.
Human beings are always seeking—whether for material possessions, personal achievements, or spiritual fulfillment. Our desires and needs feel endless. We strive, we work, we search—but often in the wrong direction.
The Bible reminds us:
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” — Matthew 6:33
Today, many pursue their own paths, their own ways, rather than seeking God first. Yet, God calls us to trust Him completely.
He tells us not to worry about tomorrow:
“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” — Matthew 6:34
God knows our needs and the perfect timing for His provision. When we place our trust in Him, we can rest assured that He is in control.
The Bible also reminds us:
“For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” — Romans 14:17
This teaches us that true fulfillment is not in worldly possessions or pleasures, but in righteousness, peace, and joy that come from walking with God. Spending time in His presence, seeking His will, and growing closer to Him is the path to real life and eternal joy.
We only have one life to live—let us live it seeking God first, trusting that everything else will fall into place according to His perfect plan.
